Financial Controller

Finance Coordinator ensures effective financial planning, management, and reporting. This position will work with program staff and agency leadership to facilitate financial management and stewardship of agency resources. This position will reconcile general ledgers, bank accounts, credit card statements, balance sheets, process Accounts receivables, and provide backup for Accounts Payables and Payroll administration. Applicant must have extensive experience in full-charge and cost accounting. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, master’s degree preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with agency policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Reconcile general ledgers, bank accounts, credit card statements, and balance sheets.

Process accounts receivable (AR) and provide backup for accounts payable (AP) and payroll administration to ensure timely and accurate transactions and ensure continuity of operations.

Assist in preparation, monitoring, and reporting of annual budgets and grants budgets.

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including preparation of financial statements and supporting documentation.

Coordinate and track grant funds, donations, and restricted funding, ensuring compliance with donor and grantor requirements.

Assist in preparation for annual audits and provide documentation as requested.

Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure accuracy and adherence to cost accounting principles, contracts, grants, and regulatory requirements, including budgeting limitations, and federal and state laws.

Collaborate with program managers to ensure proper allocation and tracking of expenses.

Maintain confidentiality and security of all financial and client information.

Analyze financial data to support management in budgeting, forecasting, and cost-reduction initiatives.

Maintain robust internal controls and accounting systems to ensure data accuracy and prevent fraud.

Classify expenditures and charges to appropriate funding sources, ensuring compliance with all funding requirements.

Conduct inventories and maintain comprehensive records of all agency property.

Remain proficient with current accounting software and relevant computer applications.

Stay informed of emerging issues and best practices in youth services and non-profit management.

Keep the Finance Director advised regarding fiscal policy, conditions and emerging issues.

Assist with staff training related to financial processes and documentation.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Finance Director and Executive Director.


Experience & Skills Needed:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in full-charge and cost accounting is required. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices and techniques, including business and public administration; understanding managerial functions and office procedures; strong command of Business English and mathematics; excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgement; Strong organizational skills and the ability to present information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, program staff, and external stakeholders. High proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excell skills required.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, Masters preferred.

Emergency Shelter / Youth Care Specialist

Youth & Family Services in El Reno, Oklahoma is looking for a full-time Youth Care Specialist to work in our Emergency Children’s Shelter that serves abused and homeless children ages 0-18. We are a fast-growing nonprofit organization who works to provide support for children, youth, and families in our community. You must be 21 years of age or older to work in our Emergency Children’s Shelter which runs 24 hours a day/365 days a year. We are in need of a full-time employee who is willing to do shift work for the 4 pm to midnight and the midnight to 8 am shifts. Duties include but are not limited to providing care and supervision to children/youth in our shelter, providing nutritious meals and snacks for children/youth, interacting with children/youth and following a daily schedule, keeping logs and paperwork up-to-date, and periodically assisting in recreational trips for children/youth.

 

*We offer holiday pay at double time for all employees who work during our allotted holidays.

Fatherhood Initiative Specialist

Youth & Family Services, Inc. is currently seeking a Fatherhood Initiative Specialist for our YFS DADS program. The Fatherhood Initiative Specialist’s primary responsibility is to provide training, psychoeducation, case management, coaching, mentoring, and other services as qualified and needed. Youth & Family Services is a fast-growing nonprofit organization who works to provide support for children, youth, and families in our community. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Gather intake information on referrals and complete all required paperwork for each participant.

Prepare and schedule staffing on each participant with direct supervisor, as required and Community Education Coordinator, as needed.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files on each participant.

Provide advocacy, mentoring, and case management services on a group, individual, and family level.

Work cooperatively with funding sources, community referral sources, school, grantors, and public agency services.

Assume the responsibility for personal development keeping updated on current knowledge, research, and techniques.  Attend required workshops relevant to job description and complete required continuing education.

Attend agency staff meetings and consultation as directed.

Encourage active engagement with and retention of participants, and ensure all project activities are in line with positive relationship principles.

Assist in organizing and coordinating meetings (including regular meetings, committee meetings, or special meetings of the group).

Travel to trainings and meetings as needed.  State-wide and national travel may be required

Receive appropriate certifications and facilitate trainings as needed.

Provide flexibility of schedule and location to accommodate clients as needed for their appointments in alignment with agency policy.

Qualifications:

Foster Care Specialist

The Youth & Family Services Foster care program is in need of a Foster Care Specialist. Our foster care program works to give homeless, neglected, and abused children improved opportunities for stability. This team works hard to build a seamless connection between the children in need of placement and the Foster Parent who will provide a loving, supportive, and safe home environment.


Responsibilities:

Working under the supervision of the Foster Care Coordinator, a Foster Care Specialists responsibilities are as follows:

Assist with foster parent trainings and special events

Maintain all files assigned in compliance with regulatory/accrediting agencies

Maintain positive relationships within the community

Act as liaison to foster families with DHS to promote communication

Utilize best practice standards at all times

Supply information of other supportive services and prevention programs to caregivers

Monitor children in foster care homes

Provide support on a weekly basis to foster families to enhance retention

Conduct home studies on potential foster families

Conduct case management and monthly in-home visits to assigned cases

Provide crisis management services to families and children

Provide on-call services on rotation

Provide timely reports on all assigned cases

Attend community coalitions and meetings as requested


Skills Needed:

Comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field
